One big family

We are Käuferle. One big family. As a third-generation family business, we can look back on a history rich in tradition that began almost 70 years ago with the founding of the company by Josef Käuferle. Since then, we have consistently focussed our wide range of products on the construction industry's need for complete services. Today, Sebastian Käuferle, the founder's grandson, is at the helm of the company.

Our history

1953

As a young master craftsman, Josef Käuferle founds the company as a metalworking shop.

1968

The rapidly expanding company relocates from the town centre to the outskirts of Aichach. A new production hall with 350 m² A new area and an office are built. Production of steel doors and gates begins. A further 1900 m2 of production space is created and soon expanded to 2200 m² expanded. A metal construction department is set up.

1973

The company relocates to a newly designated industrial estate. 3300 m² production area and 600 m² Administration and social rooms are built. The production of supplier products begins.

1979

The company founder Josef Käuferle dies unexpectedly. His son Werner Käuferle takes over the company.

1981

The production and administration areas will cover approx. 6900 m² expanded. The company is awarded the Bavarian State Prize for outstanding craftsmanship.

1988

A new type of steel partition wall system for storage rooms is launched on the market with great success.

1995

Development of the non-swinging overhead door NA.

1996

Start of production of aluminium windows & doors. The new online-controlled processing centre for PVC windows is put into operation.

2000

KÄUFERLE receives the RAL quality mark for windows, production and assembly. A new processing centre for sectional doors is put into operation. Expansion of the production area through the purchase of a 4000 m² - Hall at the Aichach site.

2002

Foundation of the subsidiary EMA GmbH in Austria. The product programme is expanded with the introduction of the timber partition wall system (UTS-H). The PVC-U window programme is divided into 2D, 5K and 5K Design, following the introduction of the 76 construction depth.

2006

Development and market launch of the non-swinging overhead door "Käuferle Kipptor NA", the ideal door solution for all collective garages, both for new builds and renovations. The son of company owner Werner Käuferle, Mr Sebastian Käuferle, joins the company and takes over responsibility for the most important sales area "Upper Bavaria".

2009

Sebastian Käuferle, the grandson of the company founder, takes over as head of sales in the company and becomes a member of the management board.

2010

Commissioning of a state-of-the-art robot production plant for the manufacture of the successful UTS basement partition wall system^®. The fully automated system joins the individual components to form the partition wall and door using a special self-pierce riveting process (steel) or an innovative screw-fastening technique (wood).

2017

Käuferle wins the German Design Award 2018 with the HT door, which is ideal for private garages: space-saving, customisable and functional.

Since the company was founded by the young master craftsman Josef Käuferle almost 70 years ago, we have been at home in Aichach in southern Bavaria. This is where our headquarters are located and where we manufacture the majority of our products. Solid craftsmanship and ultra-modern robot production systems work closely together here. This is where the former metalworking shop developed into a successful family business.
